| WINDGUARD KITS FOR RAKE FINGER WHEELS 10 June 2002 This wind guard is suitable for all finger wheel rakes that assemble a diameter 55" (=140 cm) finger wheel and is available in 2 versions: a) a steel wind guard with reinforced braces and b) a plastic wind guard. The steel wind guard other than just to protect from the action of the side wind also acts as a reinforcement for the rake's finger wheel and is therefore very useful in conditions of raking heavy forage for example like sugar cane. For those who have to protect the windrow from the side wind that helps to untidy it, we offer the plastic wind guard which is lighter in weight and is applied to the rake finger wheels with common pipe wrenches that come with the kit. Both wind guard kits are also very useful when raking in short crops or straw as they limit the loss of the forage in between the spaces of the rake tines (teeth).
