| DOUBLE ACTION HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 15 June 2002 Using this double action hydraulic system allows the rake finger wheels to be lowered into the working position much quicker. It is known that the single action hydraulic system can lengthen the time required for the positioning of the rake finger wheels into working position due to many factors such as, for example, the friction caused by the arms carrying rake finger wheels hinges or that generated by the lift tube supports. With the new machines, Dominator and New Millennium, this friction has been greatly reduced with the addition of grease zerks in strategic points. On the bigger Millennium rakes it was necessary to put together an hydraulic device that assures the return of the hydraulic cylinders and a mechanical device that allows the lift tubes to be free from the cylinders during the positioning of the rake finger wheels into the lowered working position. At present the Dominator series rakes are supplied with a single action hydraulic system as standard. However there is a double action hydraulic system kit available, which is already supplied as standard equipment on the New Millennium rakes.
